About Us

The Anglican Planet (TAP) seeks to serve the worldwide Anglican Communion as a source of intellectual, biblical and spiritual renewal.

The Anglican Planet is a project of St. Peter Publications, based in Charlottetown Prince Edward Island, Canada. Our publications engage with the pressing concerns and disputes facing the Church today, including theological advancements, liturgical reforms, Christian ethics, the challenges of secularism, Church re-evangelization, and other matters of faith. St. Peter Publications gives voice to a living Catholic and evangelical tradition within our contemporary Anglican Church, working for renewal as we move forward in this new century and new millennium.

Sharon Dewey Hetke

Sharon Dewey Hetke

Sharon Dewey Hetke has worked with TAP since 2005 in various capacities — copyeditor, writer, and now as the General Editor. Her communications work with the Council of the North and her work at diocesan and national levels through the Communion Partners have given her a broad view of the Canadian church. Sharon also works as the Research Manager for the Cardus Institute.

In her free time, she enjoys choral music, coffee, good books, walks, and spending time with her husband, Richard, and their three adult children. She lives in Woodstock, ON.

Sue Careless
Senior Editor

Sue Careless

Sue Careless has worked with TAP from its founding in 2005, first as News Editor and then as Senior Editor. Based in Toronto, she is an international correspondent for the American magazine The Living Church and has been published in the Globe and Mail, the National Post and the Toronto Star. Her work has also appeared in the Anglican Journal and Faith Today.

She is the author of the series Discovering the Book of Common Prayer: A Hands-on Approach, which was commissioned by the Prayer Book Society of Canada and is available through St. Peter Publications. Sue and her husband Tone have four children and six grandchildren. Besides enjoying them she also delights in theatre, film, birding and gardening.

Rob Robotham
Graphic Designer

Rob Robotham

Rob Robotham has been the graphic designer of The Anglican Planet since 2011 and, in more recent years, has also maintained the content of its website. In the past, Rob was the Production Manager for Faith Today magazine. Rob now works for OMF Canada as Books and Resources Coordinator as well as designing and co-editing its print and digital publication, Heart for Asia.

Rob lives in East York, ON, with his wife, Carole, and their two adult sons. He and Carole are active at the Church of the Resurrection. Rob, and various members of his family, enjoy the outdoors, hiking, and almost anything related to railways.
